An exquisite antique ring from the Edwardian era, circa 1915, prominently set with a captivating “Modified Pear Brilliant” diamond, weighing 5.07 cts., hand-cut in the 19^th century with lavish crown angles and generous faceting, allowing light in at every angle, the reverse reflection resulting  in a dispersion of brilliance, befitting of this stone is a handmade platinum mounting, a superb example of  masterful Edwardian metalwork: platinum “lace”, millegrained “beading”, ornate hand engraving, and a sprinkling of twenty-six round diamond accents.
